What is Roaring Reads?
Roaring Reads is a reading companion for children aged 7–11. After they finish a book, it starts a guided Book Talk with personalised questions that build comprehension, vocabulary and critical thinking — aligned with the English KS2 curriculum.
Who is it for?
Parents and carers create the account. Children use the app under that adult’s supervision. It’s designed for curious readers roughly aged 7–11 (KS2).
How do I get early access?
Join the launch list from the Get early access button on the homepage. We’ll email you when it’s ready.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Basic is free to get started (limited discussions and one child profile). Premium unlocks unlimited discussions, more child profiles, Voice Mode, vocabulary tools, multilingual reading and more.
Do I need a credit card to try it?
No. You can join the early-access list and start on Basic without a card.
Does it work with any book?
You can scan or search for titles in your child’s library. Book Talks are tailored to the book they’ve finished — from classics to new releases — rather than generic worksheets.
Is this a test or assessment?
No. Roaring Reads is coaching and conversation, not a formal grade or exam. Parent insights help you see how discussions are going without turning reading into homework.
